We spent the past week of our ski holiday in this village, staying at Ferienwohnung Mattle and eating out every day. We thoroughly enjoyed eating at the restaurant Hoellroah, where the service was great, the prices decent and the food tasted great. The only thing we liked less was the display case of world war two Nazi medals on the wall.
The Christophorus restaurant also impressed us with both price, service and quality.
The Pizzeria Edelweiss-Schloessl was a let down. The waiter kept bothering us during the meal, insisting on trying to sell us more drinks (I stopped him from taking my glass with about an inch of drink in it) and offereing unwanted advice about additions to our meal. Despite us telling him that we were finished and asking for the tab three times, he kept pointing out things to drink.
The Kappl ski area is small, but rather quiet, unlike the crowded Ischgl ski area. There are very few black pistes, but they are groomed well and you rarely wait for the lifts.
