I would recommend it. I was impressed by the service at the front desk. There was a misunderstanding with my reservation (I cancelled the first night; somehow the reservation dept. cancelled my entire reservation), yet despite being booked up for a busy weekend, they found me a room and were very polite and professional in dealing with me (an upset, tired traveller). I liked the fact that there were two restaurants catering to two different needs: casual and comfortable (great value, good food, friendly and professional service); and formal with a view. My room service was on time, delicious and hot. The bed was quite comfortable with nice bedding (fresh pillows, warm comforter). Overall the room was clean, quiet and had all I required (TV, wireless internet, fridge). I didn't have frills such as a view, but considering the rate I was paying, this is reasonable. The location is very convenient for tourists in Victoria as it's in walking distance of all the main downtown and inner harbour destinations. Perhaps what I liked best about my stay was the value. The price was comparable to what I've paid in Victoria for lesser hotels. Actually, I would say the price is comparable to what I generally would expect to pay for a MOTEL, forget a four-star hotel. I travel often to Victoria and I will definitely choose this hotel again (assuming you continue to offer a comparable rate). Every staff member who dealt with me was courteous and made me feel welcome. And the free apples in the lobby were a nice touch!
