This hotel was the worst of our six hotels in Canada. We knew to expect it to be a bit faded, with more of a French feel than American. The reception staff were curt, maybe because they knew we were getting the smallest room in the hotel, and in the basement too. The room was dingy - you could see the legs of passers by, and cramped - we had to step aside to allow the other one to pass. The TV didn't work during the 4 nights of our stay. Not that reception told us - we found out from the TV engineer who kept entering the room unannounced. Then the telephone instructions for phoning abroad were wrong. Luckily we had good weather and loved Quebec City. The only thing going for this hotel is its position. Maybe they have better rooms!
I stayed at the Hotel Chateau Bellevuel for four nights.
The location of the hotel is excellent. The hotel is located in front of a park and located at a walking distance place from Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac. The complimentary wireless internet connection at the room serves a high speed of the 1 Mb/s. The sound interception from the next room is insufficient.
This hotel was excellent value. The hotel was close to everything, I would book here again in the future.
