We were quite pleased with Residencial Alternativa (good location, very clean, airy rooms, nice bathroom) until we paid when we checked out. The lady at the reception started chatting to us and specifically our baby at the moment we put 4 bills on the desk and when we looked back down there were only 3 left. We were confused, weren't 100% sure and didn't have much time (taxi waiting, in a hurry to get to the airport) and only counted our remaining money in the taxi. We then found out for sure she just took an extra bill.
First time this ever happened to us in Cape Verde and a big disappointment.
Nothing too much trouble, great stay.
