23/11/2011 Hotel has a perfect location and a beatifull beach.
Hotel services are terrible.
Quality of food in hotel restaurants each time very disapointing.
Hotel staff provides all necessary information without any friendliness and smile.
Breakfast selection was very limited. We have never had so poor breakfast selection in any hotels we stayed till now.
Our room was nice and our bed perfect, the bathroom was old and ugly.
Rooms with a seaview have all new bathrooms but that is 250 euro more per 7 days. The towels were sometimes new and luxurious and sometimes totaly worn off and filthy. The horel price is the same as price of Hyat hotel. Hyat hotel ca be called 'luxury' and Lions dive 'rip-off'.

19/06/2008 We just got back from a lovely week in Curacao. The ocean front rooms certainly is recommendable. We had a rather new room (2311) with a superb view from the bed!
They are indeed expanding but we hardly noticed that. Breakfast is fine as is dinner at Hemingway; the service could have been a bit more alert and quicker. We often had to wait a long time for food and drinks. But that doesn't change the fact that it was fine. The free admission to the Sea Aquarium is great, we went here almost every day, even if it was just to see 1 show.
In short: this hotel is super if you want to go to Curacao. Tip: mind your bag when you go for a swim, ours was stolen. It was a miracle they later found it (with almost everything still in it) when we were home. Thanks to the hotel's excellent service they will ship it to us.

11/06/2008 It's a beautiful hotel, the location is perfect. If you step out of your bed you only have to walk for 100m to reach the private beach! Daily clean towels. Every day you can get a clean beach towel at the reception. The food is good, the breakfast is focussed on the Dutch and the British, but it's fresh and tasty every day. The rooms have all 2 double beds, a small fridge, sideboard with a TV, a ceiling fan and a free airco. The bathroom looks new and it's a pleasure to use it, it has a toilet, shower and washbasin. The disadvantage is that if you have the airco turned on indoors while sitting on the balcony, that it gets really hot there because of the engine of the airco. Twice a day a bus will take you to the supermarket, very convenient, because it's too far to walk. No complaints about this hotel, we had a super vacation! I really recommend it!

08/06/2008 Good hotel! The location is excellent, next to Mambo beach and the Seaquarium. The rooms are big and clean. The airco functioned well. The oceanfront rooms have a fantastic view. The breakfast (buffet) and dinner are good. The service is good too. The price-quality ratio is very favourable now. Plenty of free space on the beautiful beach, free deck chairs. Some pebbles on the beach/bottom of the sea, but all beaches on the island have that. The pool is quite small. Big advantage is the free towel service with daily clean beach towels. At the moment the hotel is getting extended, the guests aren't bothered by it, everything happens behind a screen. At the hotel itself isn't a lot of entertainmnet (I only saw 1 live music show), but with Mambo beach at a 2 minutes walking distance this wasn't a problem for us. There is no separate baby pool/playground. I recommend this hotel!

26/06/2008 It was a great holiday. The beach was very nice and quiet. You could also snorkel here. The food at Hemingway was very good and not expensive. We've been to many other places; e.g. Miramar, a Japanese restaurant at walking distance. The food here is also fine and very cheap. We had an Ocean Front Room on the top floor. This looked very neat and was fitted with all comforts. The building site wasn't much of a bother to us. It was a lovely holiday and we will certainly come back here.

13/06/2008 Lions Dive is a beautiful and well affordable resort on a beautiful location, directly next to the beach at Mambo Beach. At Hemingway you can get a tasty meal for a reasonable price. The rooms are okay and clean, but it had some flaws. The rooms with oceanview are more beautiful and more luxurous. We had a fantastic stay and I would like to return to Curaçao one day and perhaps also to Lions Dive. The only thing that we didn't like was the way the receptionist and the other employees treated the guests (not always though).
