14/05/2008 Good hotel. Nice and quiet and at least 3km from the center but the hotel has a shuttle bus. Nice beach but not very good for the children because of the wild sea. Good varied food in the hotel and the rooms were cleaned every day. If you want a quiet holiday and don't want to be in an all-inclusive hotel with 100 other Dutch people, come here. GOOD HOTEL! The food is also very good! There are nice trips you can do.

25/05/2008 Actually the first impression of this hotel was good immediately. It looks cosy and is not very massive. It is located directly on the beach which is ideal. The sea is a bit wild but this shouldn't be a problem for grown ups. A big advantage according to me were the a la carte restaurants. They've got 3, among which a Mexican, a Thai and an Italian one. I can't think of a big disadvantage of this hotel but if I would have to name one it would be the airco not working during the day (it was centrally arranged) and the shower had a weak trickle. We had one of the biggest rooms so no complaints. If you go there you could ask for room 525. Also brilliant was the all-inclusive formula going on until 2 in the morning. The Dominican Republic is a gorgeous country and it is definitely worthwhile renting a car and exploring the country with a map. If you want to see a beautiful beach, go to Playa Grande.

18/03/2007 Hi, we stayed there for 16 days in Paradiso Tropical Beach hotel. We had a great time, it's not too big which makes it a bit more cozy. Animation was great. They did their best daily to cheer things up. Enough to do there, best thing is to book with the touroperator and not on the street, safer. They all have dominican time there so don't count on fast action if you need anything ;)

25/11/2006 I just got back from 2 weeks of Seagrape and it was absolutely great. 2 swimming pools, private beach with 2 bars, lovely. We booked excursions via the touroperator to Paradise Island and definitely worth your while. We went quad riding as well.Book via the travel agent, a lot of scams around. Hotel is lovely, rooms are good and staff is great. Animation was great as well. Not many shows in the low season, only 30 guests at the moment but they tried hard for them. In short a great vacation.
