El Quseir is virtually untouched by tourism, despite several large hotels in the vicinity. Not much to do or see, but pleasant enough for a stroll, especially if you want to get a feel for what a real Egyptian small town feels like. People were quite friendly, although, as elsewhere in Egypt, quite poor. Vendors less pushy than in Luxor or Cairo. One or two decent cafés (one right on the beach) and restaurants. Citadel with small museum. Beach in town not very useful other than for a walk.
