* spacy and modern rooms (new complex), cleaned everyday
* nice modern pool with amazing view on the nile and the west bank
* ideal for morning and late-evening walks (hotel is spread across an island)
* green and shadow everywhere
* very friendly and helpful personnel
Can be improved:
* food variety is not bad but you get bored after 2/3 days
* coffee at breakfast
* extra meals and snacks are quite expensive for Egyptian standards: 20 euro pp for dinner, 7-8 euro for a simple pizza at the poolside (not that tasty by the way). For reference, you can get a full meal in local restaurants in luxor for 15 euro max in total for 2 persons.
* extra attention you may get at the restaurant is not always genuine, bahshish rules! :)

PS: Please don't forget to tip cleaners and waiters (restaurant/poolside)

04/03/2011 this hotel on it own island which was clean, tidy with very helpful staff. the grounds are well maintained with plenty to do. there are a few activities for children but not much. there is a very high quality restaurant as well as the normal ones.

25/06/2009 The hotel certainly met our expectations.Before booking we had 3 hotels in mind but once arrived in Luxor the Jolie Ville was definitely the best choice.Although the other hotels had certainly there some good features, they are all situated in Luxor town which is for our standards too noisy.The Jolie Ville is an oasis of calmth, the food is excellent,the rooms are spacious and clean and all the hotel personnal is super friendly. For us : Luxor again = Jolie Ville again, without any doubt.

25/06/2009 I have travelled all over the world, but this must be the best hotel on planet Earth. Being on an island in the middle of the Nile, no buildings around, nothing but greenery and birds around. The sunset at the huge heated swimming pool overlooking the Nile takes you out of this world. It exceeded our best expectations.

25/06/2009 Would recommend this hotel in Luxor - great Nile views, very friendly staff. The rooms are a bit dated, but comfortable enough - good air con (most important). Nice to be off the main drag in Luxor which can be a bit tiring after a few days. Easy (and sometimes exciting!) taxi journeys to and from the main sites. Very good value and good fun.

09/06/2008 We just returned from a 15 days stay at Jolie Ville! We had a very good time there! Very friendly personnel! Excellent meals, with a lot of variation. A very nice pool, right next to the Nile, just fantastic. We'll definitely return there one day. This was our most beautiful trip ever!

16/05/2008 Great location, very friendly staff, outstanding kitchen and a large selection. Rooms were okay, only the bathroom and its accessories need a renovation. The restaurant is a bit noisy sometimes because of the (mainly) Dutch tourists. Swimming pool was very good. A good relaxing point after going on trips in the area.

25/06/2009 One of the most impressive features of this hotel is the high quality of staff. From the gardeners to the head waiters nothing seems to be too much trouble and each will greet you with a smile and pleasant conversation if you start it. The chalet/cabin/bungalow/satelite rooms (so difficult to describe) are clean, well appointed and comfortable, each with a terrace supplied with a sunbed, table and chairs. We would highly recommend a stay at this hotel for anyone visiting the area and will certainly be speaking well of it to our friends.

09/12/2007 Had a super vacation in this resort! Very friendly staff, excellent food, beautiful surroundings…Also good that you get a document in this hotel with the acceptible price you have to pay a taxi if you want to go to town. (about 1,5 Euro one way trip, so vert cheap). Also worthwhile is a trip with the caleche (horse and carriage), but for this you need to agree on the price before, because they dare to ask more afterwards... The jolie ville hotel is an ideal place to combine a relaxing vacation with cultural trips, and this under a shining sun. We're definitely coming back!!

23/11/2007 Great location on an island in the Nile. Outstretched domain with beautiful, very well maintained gardens. Two beautiful swimming pools, of which 1 visually ends in the Nile (unique view). Large rooms (with terrace) in bungalow style, spread over the domain (no high buildings). Bathrooms need renovating, but very tidy and everything works perfectly. Good and varied food. Very extensive breakfast buffet (with fresh orange juice !!!) and every evening a different theme buffet. Also a nice a la carte restaurant. Very friendly and helpful staff. Free shuttle (bus/boat) to Luxor city (10 min.) We enjoyed a refreshing vacation and will definitely come back.
