Deze tempel bevind zich nog in redelijk orginele staat. Momenteel wordt er een renovatie uitgevoerd. Deze tempel is een bezoek waard. Helaas waren we er compleet alleen als toerist. Deze tempel wordt meestal niet meegenomen in de standaard rondreizen.

Het Ramasseum of dodentempel van Ramses II was gewijd aan de oppergod Amon. De resten van een reusachtig granieten Ramsesbeeld alsmede de prachtige Hypostylzaal zijn ruimscoots een bezoek waard.

Indien je buiten de gebaande paden wilt gaan, zeker een bezoek waard. Grote tempel met imposante beelden.

Deze tempel vond ik niet indrukwekkend maar wel de tocht er naar toe,een keer met bootjes die die rond de boot kwamen varen om hun waar te verkopen en dan weer een prachtige brug en schutsluis en op de boot een avondfeest
