a much needed retreat
Ghannah lodge was exactly what I needed - quiet, out of the way, friendly and beautiful. It is a nice escape from the crowds of the resort towns in the sinai. It is laid back - you can be communal or you can be reclusive - up to you. The staff are all very friendly - and helpful.
I fully recommend Ghannah Lodge. It is a special place.

what an experience
Last year I stayed for 1 months in Sinaï but I discovered a small paradise near the harbor of Nuweiba and I recommended it to everybody because Ghannah Lodge is a marvellous place to chill or start deserttrips. I met a taxidriver named Ibrahim in Dahab I was complaining about the noise and he brought me to Ghannah Lodge.
I entered a real typical bedouin village (Mezzina), the goats and camels on the street, bedouin women hanging there laundry, children playing football with a flat football, … I thought I was an actor in an old movie and enjoyed it. Once in the lodge I met a belgian women who was very friendly and warm. She told me Ghannah Lodge is a project for substainable development build by belgian children. You feel at this place people feels home, also for the staff, travellers, the founders and there volunteers. I had an incredible stay: marvellous food, bedouin parties like in the books with a campfire and a lot of stars, beautifull snorkling, and so on. I go back soon
