28/06/2008 We got back a week ago. Excellent hotel. Friendly staff, sometimes they are bold (they really are Casanovas). The room service is excellent, don't forget to leave some change in your room from time to time. It will be rewarded. A boat trip with captain Aziz is great. Free service of the hotel.
Avoid the tap water. Brushing your teeth is a no-no, also take care when you shower (don't swallow water). All this to avoid diarrhoea. If you do get it, the local pharmacists know what they are talking about. I beat it within a day.

28/06/2008 Make no mistake! This is NO IberoSTAR! The hotel is fine as far as location goes (close to the old town etc.). The service is TOP! I have never been at an all-inclusive where they even do your laundry. The food was moderate for a 5*! Very monotonous and bland, even the desserts! At the beach bar the range for all-inclusive guests is very limited! There's hardly choice between 2 snacks. At the bar hygiene is not very important either. The Italian restaurant is very good. Shame that this was the only à la carte restaurant that's open... You can only eat free of charge once during your stay, bizarre. The beach is quiet, but artificial with stone-dust. An absolute no-no is the constant nagging on the beach for: massages, beauty treatments, excursions etc. Sometimes they would ask 10x a day!! Very annoying!!! We also reported this to the management. For us: certainly not a bad hotel but not worth 5*!

25/06/2008 The location of the hotel is perfect. The old centre is at walking distance and the beach is just outside. Then there's the wonderful coral reef a boat (free service!) takes you to and picks you up. The food was fine, plenty of choice and varied. Neither of us had any bowel problems and yet we ate everything. The rules for the all-inclusive are a bit confusing at first; what is allowed and what is not. Shame that the restaurant by the sea was closed for renovation halfway the week.

24/11/2007 The 2nd week of November we were in hotel Iberotel Palace. Upon arrival they welcome you. The food is very good. In the evenings you can eat in 2 different locations, and 1x per stay, also with all-in, you can eat in the Italian restaurant. The rooms are very tidy, and the staff is very hospitable. Around the hotel everything is well maintained, beautiful beach etc.. We had a succesful vacation. This hotel is definitely still on our wishlist !!

03/11/2007 We celebrated our honeymoon here. Hotel is according to our standards definitely not worth a 9.2 score, but more like a 7. The hotel is somewhat dated and the food isn't bad but also not 'great'. We also had dirty towels, brown water from the shower and a mouse in the room. For the last incident we eventually did get another room. Not a bad hotel, but could be better.

31/12/2006 This is a fine hotel! The location is fantastic directly located on the beach and in the old centre. The staff is great friendly and helpful. The food is great and varied! The rooms are spacious and superclean. The pharaoclub is a definite must!! We went in June 2006 and are now planning to definitely go back in 2007.
