25/06/2009 we stayed here for a week-end leisure break, running the London Marathon among other things. No quibbles what so ever. clean , modern, good sized bedrooms, bathroom had large shower and bath, continental breakfast as good as any, and staff seemed helpful and pleasant. very handy for tower hill tube/towerhill gateway to DLR. Nice to escape the frenzy of the West-End after a night out, to the relative peace and quiet of the City(at week-end). Would definately use this hotel again

25/06/2009 That this is a 3 star amazes me. The standard of the bedroom was excellent both in terms of style and comfort. The bathroom was bright and modern with a separate shower and bath. And lots of amenities - tea, coffee, hot chocolate, iron...I'd stay there any time.

25/06/2009 every aspect of our stay at the hotel was great, fantastic location and service and great prices within the hotel, we had a busy weekend and this was the perfect room for relaxing in with a great bathroom with large bath and seperate shower so two can get ready without the usual wait and rush, this is the first time i have come back from london and not been glad to be back out of the city

25/06/2009 We stayed at the Apex for 4 nights and really loved it, we have been staying at a lot of the high class hotels and this one can certainly compete with them.

Great helpfull staff
Clean and wellbalanced interior design
Perfect location, a 3 minutes walk to the Tower of London
Close to St. Katherine's dock, visit the Dickens Inn
St. Pauls Cathedral at a 15 to 20 minute walk
Thames Path, 3 minutes walk from the hotel, enjoy it
It is in the center of the "old" financial district
Lots of nice pubs
The hotel restaurant is excellent, good breakfast and lunch
Lots of restaurants nearby
Do NOT visit restaurant Chez Gerard, they cook bad food
Station Liverpool street at a 15 minute walk

Overall a very enjoyable stay and we will return here next time we visit London, we hope you enjoy it also!

25/06/2009 This hotel is in an excellent location - 2 minutes from the tube. Loads of good bars and restaurants close by and if you walk across Tower Bridge (10 mins) there's a lovely selection of waterside bars and restaurants. The rooms are sleek and modern. The bathrooms have fab power showers and heated mirrors - nice touch! Staff very efficient and friendly. We had the continental breakfast which was superb.
I would totally reccomend this hotel for leisure or business. It's refreshing to find such a gem in London.

25/06/2009 The Apex City, London is a lovely hotel. Continental breakfast was excellent, the rooms were well appointed and clean, and Tower Hill tube station is only a few minutes away. The best part of the hotel was the staff. I had a child with me and we were made to feel really welcome and were very well looked after.

25/06/2009 As usual the hotel is a great place to stay, the rooms are modern and up to date. However this trip was spoilt by our sleep being broken at 0500hours on the Sunday morning because of water pouring through our bathroom ceiling from an inconsiderate person in the room above us.
We were quickly moved to another room on the same floor by the attentive hotel staff but our day was ruined completely. Further there was little explanation from the offending guests who refused access to their room to all hotel staff to clear up the mess and the mess that was left in our room

14/06/2008 A good hotel. Beautiful, neat rooms and a beautifully designed bathroom (separate shower and bath).
In the weekend it is very quiet in the area. Near the Tower Hill. This hotel is mainly a business hotel, and in the weekend also cheaper.
Approximately a 3 minutes walk to the underground and approximately a 10-15 minute walk to Oxford Street (shopping street)
Breakfast was also good. Several types of fruit (mango, water melon, strawberry, pineapple), sandwich filling (salmon/cheese/brie) and bread rolls. Choice in abundance. Good service.
Absolutely worth the visit and by London standards a good hotel.

27/12/2007 I absolutely recommend staying at a businesshotel in London, in the weekend! Because many businessmen are in the city from Sunday - Thursday, many hotels (the Apex too) have a special rate for the Friday - Sunday. Super good price-quality ratio! Neat room, with a quiet layout, plenty of storage space, very pretty bathroom with a big shower and separate bath (to flush the toilet you had to use two hands). We had breakfast at the Addendum (restaurant) for the first time, that was very expensive, 30 GBP for 2 continental breakfasts (not too extensive), we don't recommmend it. The windows on the room couldn't open and the airco couldn't be adjusted that well, a pity. But we had a very good time there!
