We were in Ribeira Park in 2006. Perfect location, right next to the centre. The rooms are old, a bit grubby and dirty. Barely any maintenance. Kitchen couldn't be used, there was only one saucepan. The fridge was very dirty and inside things from the previous guests were still there. The beds give you a sore back, very hard and pillows without stuffing. 2 Separate immovable beds, not right for a couple. The sun is boiling hot in the morning and will make you get out of bed early. In the daytime the reception was frequently occupied. An older, very friendly man with grey hair. There is also a middle aged man, dark hair, who harasses women travelling alone!!! At night he'll be knocking on your door all of a sudden and he will invite himself in. Not recommendable, better pay a bit more to make it worth the price.
