Compared to London standards the value is good for your money here. Clean, tidy, a bit worn down but it doesn´t ruin the charming radiation of a good English prewar hotel. Room not very big but with a large walk-in closet for the cases and clothes. Bed, pillows and duvets very good, also for tall people. English breakfast without a surcharge but the quality varied. Some days on a buffet (then it was average), other days you had to order ham and eggs (than it was fine). Good staff and service. Perfect location. Many bus lines run along the hotel. Coming from Gatwick several bus lines (bus 38 for instance) will take you from Victoria station directly to the hotel (bus stop in front of the hotel). Going by metro from Victoria station is not that easy with luggage; transfers and many stairs. According to us a recommendable hotel.
