29/08/2011 a fantastic small site with a mixture of chalets(mobile homes) self camping and caravanners and key camp type camping. The staff are friendly and speak excellent english. There is agood mix of English,, french and dutch on the site. The pool has three great slides but like most of brittany, it is windy, even in August. The challets are compact campared to british caravans but have patio doors and all you could need. You even have you own little garden area to sit. The entertainment finishes at 10.30 so it is a quiet site after taht time. our teenagers found plenty to do with the pool, tennis, amusement arcade and the pool tables. I would certainly be going back again

28/06/2008 Our first impression was very good. We stayed at the new park: Canopia. The cabins are very neat and don't look used. It's a bit of a shame that you have to sacrifice a single bed for a camping bed. It's very quiet here. No shouting of young people. The view is also very beautiful and it's all very spacious. I don't know about the camping. The caravans are very close to one another but everyone does have privacy and shade. I wouldn't get my hopes up for sea view. Twice a day you look out on a smelly piece of drab caused by the strong tides. Canopia is highly recommendable. We stayed here during the early season for the catering industry wasn't adapted to the number of guests. The shop was closed in the afternoon until 4PM. The former remarks about the pool and the wind are true! The pool looks great but is very cold so you'll find yourself in the bubble bath with many other people and the wind always blows!!! Other than that it's a great camping. Should you need more information please send me an e-mail.

14/04/2008 Very beautiful camp-site. Enoug to do for us. We had taken along our bicycles, but you had better leave those at home there. as it happens, you first have to go up a very steep hill before you can cycle normally. Really quite the climb.
For a nice sand beach, you do have to drive about 20kms. In Carantec itself there was much seaweed and many stones.
For nice weather you must go a little more South I think. The wind also blows hard there.
we were there in July 2007 and we did not have really nice weather. And with a small child, the pool is then quickly too cold.

05/09/2007 From the 19th - the 29th of August 2007 we stayed at this camping. Good camping with a good pool, it was quite cold if the weather wasn't that great. Beach in the neighbourhood wasn't special, at ebb it was quite muddy. But in Carantec there were better beaches. Everywhere was seaweed though. The islands Callot and the Batz were great though to visit, as well as Roskof and St.Pol. The sanitary facilities were quite clean. The chalet was clean too. We had a good vacation.

17/08/2007 We stayed at les Mouettes from the 4th - the 8th of August (we had to leave earlier though). We had some good weather, around 22 degrees Celsius. The girls (15 and 18 years old) had a good time at the pool. The karaoke evening was very cosy, according to our daughters. The cottage was good, good service. Morlaix was a nice city, Ile Callet, definately worth it to visit at ebb and walk on the road (keep an eye on the tide though!). St.Pol de Leon was very cosy and a nice city. Carantec looked good too. Everything is different if it rains though! Too bad we only drove on the highways. The coastroad was much prettier, especially in the beginning of Brittany. The surroundings were a disappointment, I expected more of them, it was a 60 minutes drive to the Cote Graniet Rose. Still a good place, but next time I would stay somewhere near Brittany, that area was prettier.

01/09/2007 We had a nice vacation. With 2 children (2 and 6 years old) a chalet (Canopia) via a tour operator, this one was good, everything was new. At Canopia cars weren't allowed, so very safe for children. Our 6 year old son liked the kids club (Dutch speaking there). When the children have a good time, the parents automatically have a good time too. The beach at Camping Les Mouettes was nice for oyster lovers, other would have nothing to do there. The beach at Carantec was nicer (reachable by car, via the town). Roscoff was nice, cosy town. Via D58, D10 (about a 30/40 minutes drive by car), to the right a small street in the direction of the dunes, lovely. Too bad the weather wasn't great.

21/02/2008 Splendid camp-site. We had been there last summer for a period of 14 days. Unfortunately, the wather was not very good, much wind and from time to time considerable rain fall. The pool is a real eye-catcher. Unfortunately, the sea offers no possibilites to of swim in because of the big difference in ebb and rising tide. Generally it was ebb at the wrong moments.
There are not much places to eat around, but for the real camper who loves barbeques, there are in the surrounding area sufficient large supermarkets to get plenty of stock from. If you do not care what the weather is like this camp-site in Bretagne is definitely worth a visit. A large compliment to the cleaners of the sanitary facilities. From 7.00am to 12pm these were cleaned.
