18/05/2011 I left 2 windsurfing sails by mistake under the mobile home. The Staff retrieved them for me, stored them and co-operated brilliantly with my efforts to have them transported home. This included wrapping them up.
The whole family had a fantastic holiday at Domaine de Chalain and this was topped off by the post holiday customer support.
The lake itself is lovely and in a beatiful setting. The staff were very friendly. If you like water activities, walking or lazing on the lakeside beach then you will love this holiday.
We would very much like to go back.

15/08/2010 Excellent really enjoyed recent holiday. Good if you are an active family- watersports, cycling, walking. Weather can be variable, but we had only two days rain in 11 days. Pluses - excellent butchers, creamerie, bakery. Bar good. Overall prices slightly more but to be expected. Everything you need is there. The swimming pool is good for younger children 14 and under as it is not that large. The slides look bigger than they are on the sites photo.

27/11/2012 Very nice area. Of course the weather in the Jura is not always very good, but the campsite is lovely. Bring your swimming shoes, because of the stonebeach of the lake.

02/08/2010 Had a fantastic holiday August 2009 the weather was excellent, only a couple of wet days. toilet facilities varied, but cleaned twice a day, plenty of hot water for showering. Washing up facilites where adequate, however the water wasn't very hot.
Plenty to do for the children, ages 8,12,15 - had such a lovely time we are going again this August.

01/07/2008 I went here last year for 2 weeks, with my little sister (9) and parents, I was then 15 years old. I found it very nice, especially because I had made friends which I could go to the lake with and play games. It is very cosy, on a morning you can get delicous bread! Only the sanitary facilities were not that great, I find. Because you had to wait very long before you could take a shower! And also very dark in those showers, but well I still had a nice holiday there! Each evening things are organised, such as sumo-wrestling, karaoke, playing table-tennis games and that kind of stuff! swimming pool finds I, however, disappoints, but well there is supergroot nicely more!
We also walked much around the camp-site and lake. There are signs with routes which you can follow, and at one route you also come by a small cute village, fontenu! (look on google earth in the area of doucier there are not many cities (the nearest large cities are Besancon and Geneva), but nice villages with for example caves (not a must for children, haha) daily shopping you had best get at SuperU (in Champagnole), which is not that far away. There is also an area with water falls near, which we almost walked, almost, because it is sooooo far away, but it is very beautiful.
Last year really was the best holiday ever, I will go there again!

29/06/2008 We stayed here in June, the mobile homes are owned by several operators and are very close to one another….I've had a look on the camping opposite ours and that's better….

The facilities of this camping have been aimed at the high season only, and June is not really that early...

Nonetheless you decide what you make of it!!! And we succeeded...

13/05/2008 in the May holiday we stayed here in a mobile home from Touroperator, we have a very good time, in such a beautiful surrounding area, the weather also turned out better than expected, even were able to lie at the lake, the open air pool was, unfortunately, not open yet. the shops lie a bit away, but I did not find that such a problem, even planned a trip (amongst other things we have been to Geneva)

24/03/2008 a beautiful large camp-site with spacious stands. The toilet buildings around differ terribly in quality.
There is lots to do of everything and most of the groceries can be bought on the camp-site. To get to a supermarket you must drive about 30 minutes. But we did not find a problem, because the surrounding area is splendid.

08/09/2007 We went to this camping for two weeks at the end of August and we really liked it. When you drive up to it you can already see the beautiful blue lake between the trees. The showers were very hot and the water pressure high but they were cleaned twice a day though. The leisure pool is really for small children and this is not the way it appeared in the brochure. You can access the internet at the reception for 8,00 euros an hour. Outside are the pretty falls (Herrisson), close to the camping site. A day long visit in Geneva is well worth it too!!

08/09/2007 A nice camping, with a beautiful location, close to the lake. When we were there it was really nice and peaceful. The sanitary facilities are not good. They were cleaned poorly and they were out-dated. The restaurant at the camping is not really worth a recommendation. When we arrived they had run out of everything. However, there is a very nice ice-cream cart. And you can get freshly baked bread from the bakery's each morning. The butcher on the site can also not be recommended. You'd better drive to a larger supermarket in the neighbourhood.
