Reviews Campsite Les Bords de Loue ***

Booked and arrived with a British twin axle caravan. No mention in the small print and then to be turned away on arrival when planning 10 days there was appalling.

Great site the kids loved it, can be noisy sometimes at times from live entertainment at night. But a great site.

Good location next to a river, Dole is a little city, there is a small restaurant in the camping for some fast food prices reasonable, sanitaries are enough but slaightly small, it would be better one more sanitary and the other more covered.

Pitches are big enough, prices of camping are reasonables

Old toilet building, not enough showers. No toiletpaper in each toilet.

Nice camping located at a river. River is great for playing, swimming etc. People who work there are friendly. The restaurant can be improved much, it smells weird, like a very old fryer.

Great site, super location and lovely river. Toilet blocks could be much nicer.

The toilet paper system is not very user friendly otherwise the sanitary block was ok

The pitches could do with a cut the grass was a bit too long

With dread in my heart I went to, but what proved to be, a new owner and behind the reception a Dutch lady; they were very pleasant.

It is really a camp-site for families with young children, the pool is very cold, the river too but great that it was so shallow. Our son aged 1 could amuse himself there the entire day.

We had a mobile home: great;

with a wonderful shower.

Unfortunately, the last week the it shop/bar closed (we were there at the end of August).

The surrounding area is very nice, yes you must drive long distance, but that is the case in the whole of France. Do not miss the cascades de herison. tip: if you have a small child, take along a baby sling, and not a pram, else you can't get anywhere and that is a real shame. Apart from that, do not miss out on Baume les messieurs and the cora in Dole.

Thus if you do not demand much from a camp-site and you seek something that is nice and cheap, then les bords de la loue is great.

This place has potential but for the kids it's not much fun when you get here after august 20. The bar was removed on 25 august and you couldn't get any take out meals anymore. Maybe this place is good in the high season. When it's cold and wet the Loue is too high to swim in. The pool is not heated and unpleasant. Toilets have no seats and the shower rooms are very cold and half open. Not a lot of hygene for the kids. Not a camping to spent a long time in.
