In June 2008 we stayed at this hotel for 3 days. We had a room in the Castle Club. This means a separate check-in desk, separate breakfast (including Disney figures), all day (until 11PM) you have free non-alcoholic beverages in the Castle Club Lounge. In short: very luxurious. The rooms were spacious, beautiful and clean. We also had dinner at the Inventions restaurant of the hotel twice. This is a buffet restaurant where the Disney characters walk around. The food was fine as was the service and the characters made it extra special. From the Castle Club there's a separate lift which will give you access to the park. Couldn't be better. It will cost you dearly but if you can afford it it's absolutely recommendable.
We granted ourselves the luxury of the Disneyland Hotel which was even upgraded to the Castle Club due to overbooking. Nice experience. The studios and the park were nice and clean and the attractions were close together. The food in the fast-food restaurants were not that great and cold though. The hotdogs at Casey's Corner were the best.
Great hotel, located directly at the park. The food is good, the hotel is very child friendly. We didn´t have a castle club. The hotel is very expensive in my opinion.
