31/08/2007 This hotel has an excellent location as it's really near boulevard St. Germain. There's a metro stop outside and the Notre-Dame is a 15 minute walk.
We were given a standard room with a bed that was 140 wide. The receptionists told us this was the size of a normal French bed. Mon oeil! We argued with them and were given an upgrade. The room was larger and the bed was 180. Breakfast buffet is really nice.
80% of the guests here are American. They were really noisy and ate bacon with their hands. They also drummed the table and they were really rude.
The label on the champagne indicates that it's not champagne but fizzy wine.

25/06/2009 The hotel looks great from the outside and the location is perfect, around the corner from the best shops and within a few metres of the Rue du Bac metro - ideal also if attending Porte de Versailles fairs, like I was: journey door to door was 15 minutes by metro, quicker than the taxi. Had booked the slightly more expensive Executive room, which to me seemed like a normal hotel room, but with very comfortable bed and unusually good air-conditioning which did not need adjusting. Bathroom was stylish and everything worked well, although toiletries were a letdown: no conditioner or moisturiser.
I did not have breakfast, the breakfast area was adjacent to the lobby which was often busy in the mornings, saw one busload of travellers get in around 10 am - so not a tranquil as you'd hope for breakfast. Newspaper selection was great, El Pais, Le Figaro - and The Guardian (& The Observer)!
No food is available after 10pm which is odd, but the restaurant next door serves good basic bistro type food until late. Hotel staff were efficient and nice, I will definitely be staying again.

25/05/2006 The first comment. A beautiful location. An underground connection in front of the hotel. We love to walk. We were able to walk, because there are a lot of places of interest nearby. Good breakfast. Even champagne. Neat and clean room with underfloor heating. Pretty nice during the cold weather. When we decide to go to Paris we'll stay at this hotel again.
