It's part of the campmed group...more like clubmed! You are made to wear a wrist band the whole time and the first thing you are told is that if you misplace it you have to pay a fine...nice!
It was literally late in the day and we had to stay so we found a reasonable pitch roughly in the middle of the site. the sanitary blocks are ok-ish..just.
The worst though is at night....what most people don't mention is that right next door to the site is the lunar park...a night time theme park that literally starts at like 9pm and goes on until 3 or 4 in the morning. Not great when you sleep in a tent or caravan as you can hear people screaming on the rides until the early hours.
We did walk onto the site's beach which no one was on. Mainly because it's really, really rough sand and this coast line can get really windy.
The whole area and towns/villages around the site are awful, bit like Bognor or Skegness on the med really.

14/07/2009 We were supposed to stay for 5 nights at Le Soleil but left after 1 horrendous night. Our pitch was very very small - we could only just fit our car next to the tent and have just enough room for the table and chairs. The ground outside the tent was just dirt which made it impossible for the children (twins aged 4) to play outside. The takeaway that we had was horrible and would definately not recommend the pizza. Finally, the lunar park isn't mentioned by many people but it is so so noisy! It kept us awake until the early hours of the morning - thank goodness the children managed to sleep. Everybody who walks past your tent, regardless of the time is so noisy - there is no peace whatsoever. You would only go to this campsite if you have teenage children as it is perfect for them - it is definately not suitable for young children who need to go to bed earlier. The beach is the only good thing - the campsite is the location with direct access to the beach.

06/09/2007 In august 2007 we stayed here for 2 weeks. Ideal for teenagers (we went with our daughter aged 16, she found it wonderful, immediately had contact with contemporaries!). Had a terribly good spot (rented tent, no. 16) 15 x 15 m, near the beach. Pool is large enough for a lot of visitors. Lunapark can indeed be heard, but we had been inoformed in advance. Traffic in Argelés is indeed very busy, but we fortunately had our bicycles with us, ideal to avoid the traffic-jams! Also nice to cycle in the area. Sanitary facilities are very well maintained (and also guards and cleaning at night). Food at Amadeus in Argeles was excellent (not suitable for small children). Beautiful spot to make trips from. We really liked it and thought it was good.

04/09/2007 We have been here from 23-30 Aug on the camp-site; a very very beautiful camp-site; very lively; the beach is near; pleasant staff from our touroperator where we booked. Argeles is very beautiful; OK markets; Coullioure is the most beautiful town which we have seen at a 10 minutes drive. So far all the positive things. The downsides: the take-away meals are really not nice; we had did not have beautiful and neat caravan. It had not been cleaned at all; we did not use the umbrella; It was terribly diryt; also the deck chairs. Well yeah; we lived 7 days outside and enjoyed the splendid weather; if you sleep; well, then you just see nothing ;). In any case; the camp-site was veeeeeeeeeery well located, directly at sea and certainly worth another visit; but then via touroperator because those caravans were really luxurious in comparison with ours; and did not difference much in price.
