Beziers is a splendid old city, which has a real regional function. There are many nice shops and the Allee Paul Riquet is a real French Avenue, with many old trees.

Beziers wasn't a beautiful city. However, we were there during the Feria (5-day bullfighter festivals) though, therefore that could possibly why the place was so busy and dirty.

Beziers is a beautiful city with museums, patios and restaurants.
The old centre of town is worth a visit worth but do not forget to visit the locking system with nine canals placed in sequence in canal du midi.
Furthermore, there is an aqueduct.
