Small, comfortable hotel. Nicely located at the foot of "La Cité". Nice view of "La Cité" from the rooftop terrace. The airport shuttle bus stops at just 200 m from the hotel. The rooms have been decorated in an old-fashioned way but very clean and have just been renovated. Nice ambiance in the breakfast room. Very friendly reception and service. The lady from housekeeping especially, Valérie, is the heart and soul of the hotel.
Some restaurants I can recommend are "Le Trivalou" in the same street as the hotel and, of course, the small restaurants in La Cité e.g. "Auberge au Ducs D'or. Prices : 3-course menu about 17 euro.
Area: La Cité is splendid, you need a complete day. The museum with audioguide and a short guided tour are to be recommended.
The new part of town is certainly not worth your while (dirty and no ambiance). If you stay several days you should rent a car and scout the area; e.g. Château de Peyrepertuse (splendid), Cirque de Navacelles and Abbye de Fontfroide.
