Reviews Campsite Le Salagou

This site could be great, we liked the pitch, the lake, general area and staff, however the toilet and shower facilities are dire. There is no excuse for not modernising and updating the toilet blocks given it is such a popular area. I wouldn't stay again. Felt sorry for the staff who had to try and clean them. Reading other reviews it has been a consistent complaint for a few years.

We stayed here from the 6th-11th of August 2007.

The campsite is near the lake and it's well signposted. It's a couple of kms from Clermont L'H. We hadn't reserved a spot but there was plenty of room. There was a part with nice patios here. There's a really nice view from the hill. It was quite windy here at times (that was a pain at times). Not sure if it's always windy like this. The baker comes round in the mornings and there's a restaurant and cafeteria on site. There's a beach nearby which has life guards on it. This is a really nice area for a few days time. The toilets and the showers aren't really very nice. They had installed a new unit near us but this is near all the tents so it can get really busy here. The other toilets and showers are cleaner. There's always a toilet to be found somewhere in the area.

This campsite is a state owned campsite. That means that it's excellent value for money.

The spots are quite spacious. The toilets and showers aren't that good. Only one sit down toilet per sex.

The campsite is near Salagou's lake. The area is really lovely.

The restaurant was closed during our stay. There's not much to do here. That was ok as this place is so near the lake.
