29/08/2009 La Grand' Combe is nog niet helemaal op het tourisme ingesteld, hoewel er lichtjes aan verbetering komt . Het is een bergachtige en groene omgeving.Het is gelegen in de Cévennes. Het is wel ideaal gelegen voor daguitstappen zowel maar de kust of de bergen. Ook verschilldende historische steden liggen binnen een straal van 85-100km.Het is er een aangenaam mediteraans klimaat.

08/01/2009 La Grande Combe is een oud en ingeslapen mijnwerkersstadje. Er is weinig te beleven in de stad zelf. Het meerendeel van de bevolking lijkt uit allochtonen te bestaan. De markt is er niet op toeristen gericht, maar eerder op de plaatselijke bevolking. Wil je iets beleven dat moet je naar het iets verder gelegen Alès.
