A village that changes throughout the year, in wintertime a quiet place of locals, sheer joy to walk the length of the beach between the Rivers Orb and Aude in near solitude, the Halles market, bakers, butchers, a number of bars and restaurants are still open and at the weekend and on Wednesdays (when the kids are off school) the locals from inland come to promenade along the seafront, enjoy a drink an ice cream etc.
March to June and Sept October and things slowly awaken/ then close during autumn- starting at weekends, a lovely time to visit, warm weather, empty beaches and plenty of space.
July and August, a bustling holiday destination, made up of French holidaymakers, together with a mix of Europeans. During the high season there are plenty of things to do, from exercise classes on the beach, free nightly entertainment at the Theatre de la Mer, major headline acts in concert in the beach some weekends, Bicycle hire, jetski and windsurf hire, Mon & Fri seafront markets. Enjoy
