03/09/2012 Souillac is a lovely little town with plenty to do and excellent access to the Dordogne river. Some lovely squares for a drink and nice main road for shopping this felt like a town where people live rather than a tourist town. Friday market is one of the best (and cheapest) I have ever been to.

20/10/2010 A pretty typical French village without the tourist crush. A few great bakeries, some nice squares for a drink and a few nice places to eat. Centrally located between Sarlat, Brive and Rocamadour. Kids loved Quercyland, and Friday market got everything you would expect. A 'must go again' for us.

08/07/2008 Brilliant for a base, we stay at Loupiac which is about 7km from the centre. A brilliant place and easy transport with some great stretches of River and canoeing. Staying La Carriere (www.france4u.co.uk) was so good for the 1st time ever we are returning to the same place this year. Don't miss the tree climbing and a lunch (or three!) in Sarlat.

13/06/2006 town with few places of interest. The neighbouring places such as Sarlat are more worth the visit. It lies, however, strategically, on approximately 30-45 minutes drive from many places of interest.
