15/07/2012 My husband and I stayed at this campsite for 2 weeks at the beginning of July 2012 and would definitely go back. The pool complex, pitches, entertainment, restaurant, bar etc was great. We have stayed at lots of campsites in France and Les Brunelles is definitely one of the best!

03/06/2011 Perfect for any family who want the best of both worlds! Close to a good beach and has an excellant pool!We have stayed here 3 years running both camping and renting the onsite mobile homes and every year there are signs of investment. Not for those who like to be in the busy hussle and bussle as it is in a quiet location. Excellant beach within walking distance but next to the campsite when the tide goes out it is rocky. If you prefer to go into the water I would recommend to move a few minutes (by car) down the bay for clear blue water. The pool is fantastic in any weather. The entertainment is all in French but when in Rome.... The staff in the main speak good English. The restaurant on site is better than you would expect from an onsite one. Would book again. Note during August it is VERY Busy for the first 3 weeks. Just been for May Bank Holiday week and it was very quiet but still welcoming.

28/08/2007 We stayed here in August 2007. It is in a very small village which has only one bakery and one restaurant. The area is not really great, there is not much to do, if you want to go somewhere nice you had to drive about 20 kilometres. The camping itself is OK. The entertainment is not great. Everything was in French. It was also a downside that everything would be closed between 14.30 and 19.00 if you wanted a bite to eat. The restaurant at the camping is not great. Toilets and showers are reasonably well-kept. The condo was really quite nice, but not as big as it looked in the picture. In short, it is a nice camping, but it should really be in a different district so that there would be more places to see without having to drives for miles to visit them.

26/08/2007 Have had a nice holiday. Resided in a cottage type vendee, this will do for max.4 persons. We had some bad luck with the location of this mobile home, it was located near a busy road. (only separated by thin wooden panels)
The pool was fantastic, perhaps too few deckchairs. We weren't very lucky with the weather either, we had a few sunny but clouded days and as for the other days it was simply a bit too cold and rainy. According to the locals this is typical Vendee climate, although it was exceptionally bad this year. Pleasant staff! On foot via a forest road you can reach a not too crowded beach. Also one can possibly come to the beach by car. (with a pram it is not possible to go along the forest road) our 2 children aged 10 and 14 years agreed whole-heartedly with us, the holiday was a great success even though the weather wasn't great.

26/08/2007 An adequate camping. There are many mobile homes and cottages and few and small camping stands. It does offer a lot of privacy. You do not get the feeling you are out camping because of it. Much (almost everything) is catered towards the French guests. Upon arrival we received wrist bands...(?) Like the one you would get in a hospital. We had a nice stand though, but they alsomany stands that weren't as nice. The sanitary facilities were neat and clean. The squatting toilet was not popular and not used much. There was a beautiful pool and the beach was easily accessible. We had 2 weeks of nice weather. The area and the surroundings were a bit of a disappointment.
