The location is fantastic - oak woodland, rock pool beaches, sandy beaches, lovely climate brilliant starry nights and it is peaceful.
They just need to learn to run a campsite! No toilet paper for most of a week, hand soap empty most of the time. Showers a bit grubby and many of them only trickle with water. The showers that do spray properly flit from hot to cold.
My biggest problem though was their greedy behaviour with our pitch. We booked 3 adjacent pitches as we are 3 families holidaying together. Booked early and got 3 excellent pitches close together - or so we thought. Between taking our booking and our arrival, they split pitch 46 into 46 and '46b'. They had telephone numbers etc. but did not get in touch. They then put the new pitch right between 2 of our pitches and the other one. Greedy money grabbing I'm afraid, more interested in squeezing an extra fee than looking after customers.
We still had a great time as Oleron is gorgeous, but beware.
