04/08/2011 Agree with the obvious comments of "one time visitors". The pitches are not large, but campsites in the Esterel do not have big or flat pitches. If you want that, I'd suggest you go to Holland for your holidays. As for getting into the pitches, I wonder every year where some people got there driving licence...
Been there now for many years. Absolute quietness, safety and friendly social environment are great qualities. The site is perfect for families with children: the new baby area with pool caters for young families, kids have all kinds of entertainment and sports (mini-golf, tennis, etc are all free) and teens do not need to venture off-site at night (bar, disco). Prices are actually low compared to the rest of the Riviera.
Downsides: Sanitary equipment is old and badly maintained, cars are allowed to drive very fast (with personnel setting the bad example) and the site could do with a long-term vision from management vs. the focus short-term cash revenue.

05/01/2011 Been going here for 10 years . excellent facilities for kids free club with lots of unusual activities and english speaking staff, 5 euro lasts older kids all day can hire sports equiptment for that deposit (no hire charge) animal pool fabulous for toddlers in shade and right next to ice crem bar (a must!) we take our own caravan and yes pitches are snug but once you find a pitch you are happy with then place an option at reception for the same pich for next year. some people may find site layout bit small but site do have a tractor & will put caravan in place for you. Does need to pull its socks up in few areas, sanitary block very clean but not been upgraded for years. flagging round pool area can be slippy (really need to walk and not run!) Yes bar is expensive but you are on french riviera?? drink your own! shop well stocked. staff always very helpful and look after us year upon year... lots of people come back time and time again. excellent location, quiet at night. we love it

03/09/2009 Full of mobile homes and staff speaking only English. Loads of yobs in the pool making it unusable unless you are a yob too. Bar prices are ludicrous. No shade on half the pitches. All French caravans have very noisy air conditioning so if you're parked next to one as we were, it will drive you mad. Pitches are impossible to get into. Very narrow road. Really horrible site set up for non French speaking mobile home renters. Do not go if you have your own caravan. A shame as it's quite a nice area.

21/05/2008 Camp-site with many possibilities for children.
We rented a trailer via our touroperator, absolutely not a success, very out-of-date/run down trailer.
We had chosen type 1c, this is the larger/more luxurious one, well to be concise: it was a terrible old thing
next day we announced this at reception, when paying extra we could get a better one.
We think that our touroperator was not to blame, the cooperation with this company is still very young, and they gave us a different type of trailer then what we paid for.
A shame, in the 2nd trailer we good holiday fun. The shop and restaurant are very good.
The beach at St Agulf is wonderful.

06/09/2007 We stayed there with 2 children from the 11th - the 22nd of August. It was a nice camping. We rented a caravan from the camping itself. We liked it. Insect screens and roll-down shutters in front of the windows, a freezer, oven, microwave. There wasn't enough space at the pool, the first 2 weeks. Early in the morning people put their towels on the lounge chairs already. The icecreams were also very expensive. During the last week we couldn't even get ice lollies anymore! The personnel was very friendly and they did their best. There were some activities all day. We would like to return to that camping.

15/08/2007 We were here for the second time now in Esterel. Rented a caravan via the camping. Everything looked real fine and in good shape. Camping is beautiful, trees and plants. Seldom seen such a nice camping. Swimming pools are fine, beach is 5 minutes away. Restaurant on the camping is fine as well, nice assortment in the shop and the takeout is fine as well.

29/08/2007 We had a super vacation. Lovely camping. Quiet place. 30 minutes away from Cannes. Nice pool. Very friendly personnel. I recommend this place. The prices were high though.

07/06/2007 We were here a week in may 2006. We liked the camping a lot. Nice swimming pools (warmed) with sun terras and wooden recliners. Nice playground and a midgetgolf track. Location is super, only 3 kilometers from the coast. Very nice to bike in. Worth doing again!

14/01/2007 Fine camping, reservation in 2007 is hard because they only rent spots from Sunday till Sunday. More expensive as well. Some people have jobs and this will be hard to combine. Not so flexible at all!! A very arrogant rule in my opinion. This isnt a place i will return to. I will find an alternative for sure!

08/06/2008 We went to this camp-site 3 years ago. Very good camp-site, really very cosy. Take-away food is very nice. What we missed was a paddling pool of a couple of cms deep for our youngest child (now 1 and a half yrs old). For this reason we won't go there again this year, but we will certainly return sometime!
