I Have to say, its hard to beat this site, in an area of outstanding scenery, the river , lac de castellion etc.. The weather was fantastic, a very enjoyable 2nd year here. The roads and oncoming traffic, straight at you are no better, so beware!! Castellane is a lovely small town, about 1 mile walk. Great to get out of the sun with a morning coffee or afternoon drink. Market day in saturday, some very tasty olives & oil on sale. its a long drive from calais, but worth every mile drive down with the caravan, took us 2 days.
The evening entertain is okay on 3 of the 7 days. My teenage children found the freedom of the site to be of there liking, very safe, evening campfire on river beach from 11pm. Restaurant menus are not that extensive , its either Pizza or Pasta, however buy your own food and BBQ with a glass of cold wine :-)
