15/05/2012 We found this site by accident and it has been the highlight of our trip. Set in the stunning Mont Blanc area The views are breathtaking and the site is cleverly laid out in "open plan" style giving you scope to maximise the views. The facilities are spotless and there is a small shop at reception to cater for the essentials.

Perhaps the highlight is the young couple who own and run it. I have never come across a more helpful and welcoming ownership. They are terrific. I originally was to stay for a night but stayed for three and would still be there if time permitted. I cannot think of a single negative thing to say. A fabulous site.

29/09/2011 Les Dômes de Miage*** in St. Gervais-les-Bains (Haute Savoie) is a lovely site, beautifully maintained and owners very friendly and helpful. The site has fantastic views. Great location to explore the area, particularly for walking and easy to get to Chamonix too. We were staying in a caravan and good spacing between pitches. Free ice is available from main reception and you can place a braed/croissant order for the morning too!

13/09/2011 a beautiful campsite with large pitches in a grandiose setting. Good sanitary facilities. But it is better the window is closed if one takes a shower in the morning. Cold wind. "Smile" Very nice welcome and good possibilities for excursions in the area. Price-performance is ok. At the reception you get a reduction card for the Tramway to the Mont Blanc. We'll be back

26/08/2010 very large pitches with perfect grass for tents; much sun during the whole day; very clean sanitary, but showers could be better. There isn't any fridge for cold boxes and this is a problem for people without a fridge in the tent. It's a perfect camping if you don't want to move every day for trips, because in august traffic jam at St. Gervais is terrible at every hour and you can spend an hour for driving through the village.
Unfortunately there is a bad echo of the traffic noise during the night, but it didn't annoy us.

06/09/2010 Camping Les Domes de Miage is an excellent campsite. We were there in the last two weeks of August. The site is well run and with very good shower/toilet and dish washing facilities. There is a good laundry room. There are a number of additional touches such as the ice machine (with ice-bucket) great for that cool glass of wine or beer and fresh herbs for picking. The views of the Domes de Miage are wonderful.

The owner and his wife look after the site very well and have a nice small shop. The pitches are large. We pitched after a period of heavy rain and our pitch was rather soft and muddy but the surrounding grass dried well.

The site itself was quiet. Noise from the main road can be a little distracting and there is a surprising amount of traffic running between Les Contamines and St Gervais.

The location is an excellent base for exploring the Val Montjoie and there is a great deal to do. We would highly recommend this campsite as a holiday base for the Mont Blanc region
