brilliant place i would recommend it
an excellent holiday for all ages, a very energetic
action packed time to be had by all if you want but if you just want to sit by the pool you can and will enjoy this also. restaurant is a bit expensive but serves good food. excellent staff on site very friendly and helpful. we have travelled here with children of all ages, 1,4 9,12, 15,17 and more all return again and again. we have been here six times and are going back again 2009.
Happy new year
We (family with 2 kids of 2 and 3) have spent 2 weeks in a rental tent. We had an incredible time here. Thanks to the fact that it was still the slow season we weren't bothered by a crowded pool or long lines in the shop etc. I can imagine though that the pool is a bit small during the high season. The camping is a fine starting place to explore the area.
In short, the pros and cons:
Pros:
* beautiful location against a slope with view of the entire area
* the camping is so large that it offers something for everyone
* a beautiful pool and very much suitable for small kids
* there are many activities
Cons:
* many regulations (the most annoying one is that you cannot have an old-fashioned BBQ)
* due to the height difference you have to climb
* many tiles of the pool are loose and inflict cuts
* the exit to the N102 is not surveyable and therefore dangerous.
During the May break we (2 adults, 1 5-year-old and a baby) spent two weeks at this camping. Our chalet was located on the C grounds near the pool. The accommodation was small but had a nice covered terrace. We think the camping is more suitable for older children. This terrace camping is rather large and we felt our son was too young to wander the grounds by himself. There are cars and there's lots of gravel in all sorts and sizes, the only playground was too far away and you cannot ride a bicycle. A stroll with your baby is not happening either as the pebbles really shake the child.
And yet we had a nice holiday. The weather was fine, the area is wonderful, the entertainment (if you love it) is great, the staff is friendly and fortunately it wasn't so crowded yet. If you want to read a book, as a parent, and not run after your kids continually go somewhere else.
We had booked a Tahiti through Vacansoleil. We called and inquired whether it was child-friendly for a child of 1 and one of 2 years old and whether there was any grass. We arrive here and are directed to the other side of the camping; the last gap, a mountain of pebbles and there we found the 20 mobile homes just dropped there; no atmosphere, no shade, no nothing.
You can walk to the pool and the shop but to visit Luc and Lily who fortunately made our holiday a success was quite a climb for the little ones. The pool for the toddlers was far too cold and there were broken tiles which meant that many kids had wounds on their tummies and legs. And during the high season it's very small. They have a playground across the river (without a fence at the bridge) but nowhere else. The shop is fine for bread, ice-cream is expensive, a rocket is 1,60 Euro. Luc and Lily are great, shame that the CD costs 20 Euros. And not to be so negative I must tell you that you can also book the cabins and caravans through the camping which is better!
We were at this campsite with 2 kids aged 1 and 3 in the middle of August. The caravan was excellent, but onfortunately the campsite wasn't suitable for children of this age. The manager admitted this when we left. There was only one playground at the bot
I must admit that because of all the negative comments we didn't really like the idea of it, but it exceeded all our expectations. We had rented a caravan which was nice and large, we even had a double bedroom! We thought the beds were hard though! The ca
You'll only find Dutch people here. Not really what I look for in a holiday. It has a big pool, the water in the small part was very cold. The evening entertainment is really aimed at children and not at adults. We rented a caravan, nicely decorated and v
