11/06/2008 Went here from 5 to 7 June. Paid 700 Euro!! For a family room and a standard room for two nights. There was an exhibition and that increased the price according to an employee. No advertizement for Van der Valk. Rooms are antiquated. Very dark and cramped. Minimal facilities are present at the room. Food is good though and the service is fine. Indeed a lot of noise hindrance from the trains and the highway, which are in front of the door. It's better to look for another hotel for the price / quality standard. This hotel is more suitable for the business traveller, not for families with, for example, children.

05/05/2008 We booked the Movieworld package. We spent two nights and two days here. We had tickets to the park for 2 adults and 2 children. The room was nice and there was a king size bed and a sofa bed for two. We also had a bath and a shower. Breakfast was fairly extensive and the dinner buffet was really nice. Downside: There was no playground for the children. I can recommend this hotel to people who want to go to Movieworld and who don't want to travel back and forth in one day.

13/05/2008 We booked a family room for two adults and two children. We were offered a double room. We complained and the lady was angry and unfriendly. She did offer us a different room in the end. We were glad we persevered because their second offer was a two room suite. The curtains were falling apart and the two camp beds were just stretcher beds for the children covered in cotton but we managed to make it more comfortable by putting a blanket under the sheet. Breakfast was really nice but the buffet dinner wasn't brilliant. The play area had a pool table in it and no toys. It was really noisy because there was a railway nearby. We wouldn't come and stay here again. We really think they need to work on their guest relations because the way they treated us was just disgusting!!!
