23/06/2008 We just got back 2 days ago from Karda Beach. I have to say Corfu really is the greenest island. Incredibly beautiful. The bungalow is spacious enough to fit 4 persons. Clean towels and a quick cleaning daily except on Sundays. Not all bungalows enjoy the same privacy but we were located in 18B, lovely beneath an enormous olive tree. The swimming pool is fine, for small children as well. The service in the restaurants, shops and front desk was fine. Communication in english is easy. The beach is located just 200 meters away and receives an A+ rating from us. Dassia itself isn't much to look at. The restaurants are ok but the centre is a busy road. Perhaps i'll come back here with my small children. The best gyros you can get at the Grill House across the bakery. Even the locals get their meals there!!!

29/06/2008 I went here for a week in June with our two daughters of 8 and 5. Nice bungalows, cleaning 6 times a week and plenty of towels. It has the atmosphere and quiet of a camping and at the same time the comfort of a cottage with airco. Definitely recommendable for families with children. A lot of room to play, nice shady camping. Nice swimming pool and close to the beach. The Greeks enjoy the beach to the right of the camping and we loved it as well. Nice sand on the bottom and it got deeper slowly, which was very nice for the kids. The restaurant on the camping is good. The bakery sells some deliciously fresh bread and it's nearby as well, just above the camping, at the road take a left. Aqualand was the highlight for us girls, after 3 o'clock the entrance fee will be lower. Several rental companies are located in Dassia, worth it to rent a car there. It saved us almost 100 euros compared to renting a car via our touroperator/camping. Restaurant Panorama is recommendable (Dafnila), good food and very hospitable, nice view.

29/06/2008 Nice bungalows, near the beach, boulevard, bus to Corfu city. Good bakery and minimart nearby. Nice swimming pool and when we were there it was relatively quiet with a lot of Dutch on the camping and in the bungalows. Dassia itself isn't very special but it was ok for us. From there you could take nice trips across the island.

23/05/2008 During the May vacation we stayed there with 2 children. Almost nothing was open yet, qua restaurants, snack bars on the beach and shops. The worst disappointment was that there was nothing to do in the evening. And so you already had to stay at your bungalow at 9 in the evening. It was very humid in the bungalow, water on the inside of the doors. The service was good, only the cleaning was bad. Daily clean towels though, but they didn't dust or clean the place once. Only 1 shopping street and even there was nothing to do. But we did have a nice vacation, only the Greeks weren't very friendly.

05/09/2007 We spent our holiday here for a second time. We enjoyed again. The nice thing is that everyone still recognises you from the pervious year and this makes you feel welcome. I can add little to the previous messages but I' like to give tip about Karidia. This restaurant is well worth a visit! Say hi to Spiros!

04/09/2007 We came back last night from 8 days in Karda Beach. We really liked it. The park is peaceful, cosy with all those cottages. They cottages were equipped with everything you need. The cleaning is indeed not all that good; it takes them about 2 minutes to finish the cleaning but other than that we liked it. The beach is very close and you can also walk to the restaurants situated along the main road to Dassia. The bakery on the main road sell delicious bread and cakes. We did rent a car to explore the island. Dassia is not really a town, but a village worth spending time in. The rest of the island is well worth a visit too.

31/08/2007 We have just returned from 3 weeks in Karda Beach (August 6 - 27). This is a wonderful condo when you have children with nice cottages. The pool is nice and clean and close to the beach. The restaurant is worth the visit. The pebbled beach isn't a problem, it means there isn't sand everywhere and you can just lie on a bath towel. Furthermore we can recommend the Karidia restaurant on the left side of the main road and Alexandros, this is a short walk away from the bus stop and it very dark on a night there, so beware of Italians in the high season. We can recommend this accommodation, but not the village of Dassia.

30/07/2007 Incredibly friendly people, and a very clean camping site. The cottages are cleaned daily (except Sunday) and the towels are changed too. We can recommend this site.

18/07/2007 The cleaning was very poor. The just chucked some bleach in the toilet. Mopping was no more than dragging the across the floor as you walk out of the cottage. The cobwebs hung on the chairs and the cupboards. During our stay the management decide to change from daily clean towels to clean towels every 2 days. A/c is a necessity. Wonderful. They are friendly, especially towards Greek people. There was a camping site-feeling to the cottage.
