27/07/2012 I have just returned from another wonderful holiday at the Saint Nicholas, which is the ideal place if you are looking for a place to chill out. If you are a party animal please go somewhere else because this hotel is not for you. Equally suitable for couples and families looking for a quieter time. The rooms are spacious and very clean, each having a small kitchen area. The rooms are also serviced each day.
The poolside restaurant/bar offers a full range of drinks and well priced and prepared range of snacks and meals.
The pool is set in well maintained and spacious gardens amongst olive trees which provide plenty of shade (if you want it) from the sun. There are plenty of sunbeds available so there is no need to rush down in the morning.
The whole operation ticks over with very friendly staff overseen by the family who are always around in the background to ensure your stay is memorable.
I really cant recommend this hotel highly enough.

22/05/2009 We stayed during the Easter holidays in this beautiful and peacefull hotel.with the lovely gardens and the very much friendly staff.The food in the restaurant was delicious as well as at good price.Also the breakfast was impressive with a choice of different foods.I would definitely visit this place again as our stay was fantastic!!
Corfu is a beautiful island and staying at ''saint nicholas'' made our holidays even better! I just hope we can go back again,maybe in September!

12/06/2008 We stayed here from 14 May - 8 June. Great accommodation, very spacious, both single and double room apartments. Very friendly and client oriented staff. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are very good. The swimming pool is located in a very well looked after garden and it's utilised with all comforts. For those who do not like to be close the centre the location is just fine; only some 10 minutes walking. Yet, it is located on a hill but it is easily manageable. During my stay I was already 27 weeks pregnant so if I can do it under these conditions anybody should be able to cope with this.

14/05/2008 We were here in June for 2 weeks. A quietly located complex. Recommendable for those who look for peace. It is easy to keep an eye on small children and they are able to enjoy themselves on the field and in the children's pool. The playground is very aged. Older children will be bored. Make sure to request an apartment on the ground floor with a field by e-mail. That is how we got the best apartment. The road is steep but okay.

12/09/2007 A good apparment with a large pool and garden and deck chairs. The people who work there are kind. The location is maybe not as good because of the steep slope, but if you rent a scooter the problem is solved.

11/09/2007 Despite several warnings there was no problem with this accommodation at all (we did not got a studio while we had booked a 2-room appartment). The slope to the hotel can be a bit steep and a problem on foot. The rooms are spacious but adequate. The beds are hard. The staff is kind and cooperative. To tip at the beginning of your stay works miracles. The same goes for the cleaning ladies. There is no entertainment (although they do show all the big football games on widescreen telly). The place is suited for people who want peace and quiet and also a startng point to explore the island from. There is not much to do in Gouvia. There is a small pebbled beach. A coach trip to Corfu city can be recommended. (1,10 euros, blue bus no. 7)

06/09/2007 We have just returned from a stay at Saint Nicholas'. It is a nice condo with a clean pool and a lovely garden. It is quietly located and Gouvia is within walking distance (steep hill). The 1 room appartment was spacious for 2 persons. Towels were changed daily and sheets 3 x a week. The staff was friendly and cooperative. In the restaurant they even took an gluten-free diet into account. We rented a car and we explored the whole island with it. If you want to see the whole area it will take you about 4-6 days by car. The traffic on Corfu is chaotic, but this is normal in Greece (or so the barman told us)/ The only downside was the claiming of deck chairs in the morning by means of planting a towel, to 'reserve' them for an entire day.
