It was a fine hotel, friendly service.
The food was very good and the rooms were cleaned every day.

I totally agree with Ellen. We went to Silva Maris May 2 - 9. They opened at May 1st and it was definitely noticeable. Nothing was ready. The bathroom was indeed very small. There was a crack in the shower, the shower curtain was old and too short. When we were in the shower the bathroom was a swimming pool. The food was nothing special either. There weren't enough guests yet i think. There was no entertainment either for the first few days. There were bingo evenings, might be nice for older people but nothing for us. We had good hope when we left after reading the reviews but we were very disappointed. I think they should've known Greece is no holiday destination for end of May, start of June. Silva Maris is definitely not worth it's 4 stars in our opinion and we are definitely not going back. We paid a visit to the Creta Maris and staying there would've definitely have been a better choice. Silva Maris is in dire need of renovation.
We just got back from Silva Maris. Fine hotel, just like a small village with small streets where your room/cottage is located. Rooms are fine with a refridgerator and airco. The whole complex gets cleaned thoroughly. They are cleaning the whole day long. For the rest there are 2 swimming pools and it's close to the sea and a shopping street. The beach isn't too great. In this period (May 26th - June 2nd) mostly elderly people and families with small children. So the entertainment wasn't used most of the time. It could be a bit noisy in the bar in the evenings but you won't go to bed so early when you're on a holiday anyway. The food was good as well, lots of choice and especially the dessert buffet was very tasty. Only downside is that there is little food for small children, just french fries and spaghetti and in the afternoon and evenings. For the rest we had a very good holiday and this is definitely recommendable!!!
A great hotel suitable for kids. Good food. Not the best place for youngsters. Only two drinks per head during the evening. More drinks during the afternoon, very weird. A great location. Poor entertainment at the pool during the afternoon. A slow internet connection. Nice entertainment for kids though. I liked the entertainment during the evening. We had a great time. We stayed at this place for two weeks. I can recommend this place to people with and without kids.
We stayed at Silva Maris for two weeks in August. We had a great time. It's like a small Grecian village. Large and clean rooms. Good food, a lot to choose from. Close to a cosy and crowded shopping street. The hotel wasn't crowded at all. We had a great time and we will be back for sure. My daughter (4 years old) had a great time. Good entertainment for kids and adults, very enthusiastic personnel. Our daughter just loved the mini disco and the evening shows.
We had a great time. We stayed at the suite with a separate room for the kids. Close to the pool. Kind personnel. I can recommend skin-diving at the coast. There's a current, so be careful. The small pool is better to refresh than the one at the bar. Lots of Belgian and Dutch people around. Enough reclining chairs available, so we didn't have to get up early to get hold of one. I can recommend this place.
