The hotel looks fine both inside and out. The rooms look OK (except for the loose sealant). The airco works but from noon until 3AM it only works if you're in the room. Dinner was very poor and not varied. There were only 2 or 3 menus and even that was much the same.
Available drinks were: cola, 7Up, Fanta orange, Fanta lemon, water, beer and wine; everything had to be bought and that wasn't cheap. A can of RedBull cost 5 Euros. At the pool you could only get a sun bed early in the morning otherwise it was full.
I wouldn't recommend this hotel because it doesn't match the description.
We just returned from a 12 day stay at Hersonissos. A very good hotel with excellent service. Very good and well cooked food. Beautiful rooms with well working airco. The staff was super friendly.
The hotel has a nice location. The beds were rock hard which meant that we got up every morning with pain all over the place. The garden and the tiny pool terrace are far too crowded in the high season. In the tiny pool everything is allowed! Ideal for kids and rebellious youths. Air beds, balls, tennis and especially trays full of beer in the water on an air bed and off you go drinking and being obnoxious with eight drunk guys. That was really nasty and nobody did anything about it. Others just placed towels at 6AM for their entire family (12 sun beds) and already parked their air beds, air sharks, air water seats etc. around them. It was impossible to walk around. It's ridiculous that the hotel didn't respect its own rules. The food was reasonable but indeed much the same and it wasn't always hot. We wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. It's certainly not a 4 star hotel.
We stayed in Crete from 27 May until 12 June. Hotel Mediterraneo is a fine place to stay; friendly staff, good food, beautiful pools. The location is about 1-1,5km from the centre but it's still at walking distance. It's a large hotel with large dining room, bar etc. At the pool there's plenty of space for sun beds etc. At the pool there's a nice bar where you can get soda drinks, coffee, tea etc.. In short: a fine hotel.
Very poor food in our accomodation, wrong location, not a hotel for young people.
Hotel staff are all right. Service minded. Especially Louis is a good man indeed. The food was below average. Not varied and tasteless. My mobile phone was stolen from the apartment so it is necessary to hire a locker. All-inclusive from 11 am till 11 pm seemed a weird arrangement to us. It is either all-inclusive or it isn't. It half is and half isn't doesn't work according to us.
A dirty hotel room. Lots of hairs lying on the ground in the room and the bathroom. Even after they cleaned the place it was still dirty. The shower curtain and the mat were mouldy. Uncomfortable mattresses. Apart from this, a nice hotel.
We stayed at this place for two weeks during August/September. We had a great time. Good food, a lot to choose from (fish, meat, chips). Kind personnel. We knew the water in the pool was saltwater. We read the brochure! We didn’t mind the 15 minute walk to the beach. Good for the digestion. We had a great time.
A lovely hotel. Good food. A lot to choose from. Good cleaning. A nice pool. Lots of reclining chairs available. Kind personnel. I can recommend this place.
We stayed at this hotel for 11 days in August. Good food, kind personnel, a beautiful and large pool. They cleaned the room every day and gave us clean towels. There's an entertainment evening once a week. A nice terrace with lots of guests during the evening. The all-inclusive ended around 23:00 o'clock. It's a 10/15 minute walk to the centre. I can recommend hiring a scooter or a car to visit the inland. Some Grecian villages. Very nice.
