We just got back from a sad holiday at Royal Belvedere. Especially the entertainment team was annoying; even after a night on the town they were waiting for us! The music was nice ( Dries Roelvink performed). Next time we'll go to Imperial which is many times better! The food was very bad, especially the potato products. The fresh fruit was OK. I do have some doubts about hygiene though because I've seen a cat licking the pans at night! The constant smell that came from the airco was a shame; it smelled like a corpse in there! Despite the minuses there was a nice atmosphere, even the bad smell didn't affect this.
The food was poor! Every day the same, fatty meat and even the gyros was fatty, the potato products were mashy, the only good food were the toasted ham and cheese sandwiches at the pool! And then the lift or the gate to hell, it was very hot (if it was working). And yes, the Russians and Polish did also bother us, they were very loud. The hotel rooms had an airco that made such a racket that you couldn't sleep with the airco on, a door with plastic card key that didn't work half the time, a nice bath that couldn't be emptied in one go, otherwise the water would come up through the bathroom floor drain, along the bath there was a nice sealant of 5cm that was loose! The only good thing about this hotel is the pool!!
We had a great holiday, the food was fine, the entertainment team was superb and they had very nice bar staff. We simply had a great holiday and we might even go back.
Fine hotel, beautiful rooms and fine food!! The view of the sea was great. The only major minus were the noisy drunk Russians. And the Russian women who went into a room with the managers and bar staff….If you can look past that it's a fine all-in hotel in Crete!
We stayed here from 13-22 June. We had a great holiday with our 2,5 year old. Even the miniclub activities were nice for her if we helped out, especially 'dancing with AAP'. The rooms were cleaned every day, every day the beds were made, fresh towels…. they even gave us a potty for our little girl. The food is soup-kitchen like but still varied and good. We met nice people who also had kids. GREAT HOLIDAY. ENTERTAINMENT TEAM was also very good.
We stayed at this hotel for 11 days. We had a great time. I can't recommend it to poor walkers. Food food. A lot to choose from. A great entertainment team. Kind people. A lot to do at the hotel. Close to Chersonissos. Star Beach across the hotel. A clean hotel with some shops. Kind cleaners!
We stayed at this place for 12 days during August/September. We had a great time. Good food, a lot to choose from. Clean and neat rooms with a lovely balcony. Lots of steps, but that's normal when the hotel is located at a hill. There were several pools. I didn't like the saltwater pool. I hate swallowing that water. The kids didn't bother though. A show was given every night by the Dutch/Belgian entertainers. It was very nice. I didn't like the German entertainers. The doctor wasn't around much, so you had to make sure you visited him in the morning.
A lovely all-inclusive hotel. I didn't like the saltwater in the pool.
