25/06/2008 We stayed here from 9-23 June. They are neat, beautiful and spacious apartments with comfortable beds. Perfect location: at the beach and pool. Nice and quiet: if you want to mix with the crowds the main street of Malia is just around the corner. Large supermarket with a bakery at the corner. Nice restaurants, sweet and friendly people! The towels are a bit meagre, a floor wiper in the shower would be convenient! That's really the only minus. We will definitely come back here!

09/06/2008 We stayed here during the first week of June. The apartment was neat and clean and was cleaned every day and we got fresh towels every 3 days. You had to shower carefully for there was no shower curtain. That was the only minus really. Balcony with view of the mountains and sea/beach.... perfect! The sand beach was just outside the apartment. This time of year it was still nice and quiet. The staff was also very friendly. You can also use the facilities of neighbouring Theo Star (same owner) for free. The town of Malia is not that special but Stalis is only a 20 minute walk and that offered more cosiness. Recommendable for those who seek a quiet and beautiful place immediately by the sea, certainly around this time a year.

29/06/2008 This was our second time in these apartments. It again was fantastic!! Very friendly staff and we laughed a great deal with George and Andreas. The apartment on the 2nd floor on the corner offers a very nice view! Despite the heat we didn't need an airco. Just open the bedroom window and plenty of fresh air fills the room. We will go back in September!

10/06/2008 We really had a great holiday at Theo star, the pool and beach were just outside our doorstep, great.
Highly recommendable if you like sunshine and beach.
For young people it's good to know that there's a wider beach with dance beach tents if you stroll the beach to the right. Pleasure beach is really nice, opposite the white house on the island.

The studio we were in was utilised with all comforts and was cleaned every day. Small but cosy, next time we'll take the 2 room apartment as I bring a lot of stuff with me.

I read that to some George the co-owner seems a bit gruff but that's just the first impression. We really got to know him and he's very relaxed. We thought he was very dedicated for you see him everywhere; reception, bar, cleaning the pool and whether you went to bed at 5AM and got up at 9AM he was there. If you see our BOKITO shirt give him our best.

26/05/2008 We were here for a week with 2 children; 3 and 5. Beautiful location directly on the sea. Beautiful beach, nice swimming pool. Beautiful large apartments. We were on the ground floor with a very large terrace. The interior is plain and minimal; truly Greek as we have experienced before. The apartments are well cleaned and there are enough clean towels. Disadvantage was the lack of sun on the terrace/balcony (probably only in the pre season. The hospitality of the owner wasn't very good (or bad). He just does what he has to do and doesn't make any contact. Shame. It would improve the atmosphere especially with such a small complex. We rented a car ourselves which saved us half of the price the tour operator offered us. And we had a new car too with full insurance. Shame the travel agencies are still scaring you not to do this yourself! Total nonsense. Malia itself is nothing. Nothing Greek about it. We had some delicious food in Old Malia at Gregorioli restaurant which is divided in 2 parts by a small road. We had a lovely holiday on Crete.

11/09/2007 We stayed at Theo Star in Malia and we had a great time. Nice apartments, A quiet location. Close to the shops and the restaurants. Close to the sea. The reception was abandoned all the time. When we arrived there was nobody there. Luckily we found Andrew who let us in. Large and beautiful apartments. We stayed at an apartment on the ground floor. A lovely and large terrace. I can recommend this place. We'll be back for sure.

17/08/2007 We had a great time. A great location close to the beach and the centre. A nice pool with a deep part and a shallow part. We stayed at a small apartment with a huge terrace on the ground floor. The place looked renovated and they cleaned it every day. They didn't replace the bedding or the toilet paper too often. We had to ask three times for it. A small bathroom, no shower curtain. George wasn't very kind. It's rather crowded in Malia this time of year with all these youngsters and scooters. Lots of restaurants around with reasonable prices.

14/08/2007 We stayed at this place for 18 days in August and we had a great time. A modern place. A kind cleaner. Clean bedding and towels every other day. George: act normal!
