Having visited them for several years running we can only say that this year, as in all previous ones, the whole experience was first class. Ralou, Maria, Aphrodite and everyone there were friendliness itself, the taverna food was great, accommodation just right for us (ages 81 and 77), kept spotlessly clean, the site a magical garden location in the country but near to KALONI town for all shopping etc (including supermarket) and Skala KALONI fishing port and the island perfect for a great wildlife holiday - eg for rare birds, butterflies etc.
There is now no rpt no migrant crisis. In fact even in the past year the flood of migrants through Lesbos did not seem to have caused any problems at all in the KALONI area, which is well away from the coastline affected.
The Greeks, and especially Lesbos, badly need tourist visitors so if you like Greece/the Greek islands but have been hesitating please ignore the past publicity hype re the migrant crisis - it was all terribly overblown anyway - and go and have a great time.
Can not, unfortunately !, think of a single adverse comment. It's just a lovely Mediterranean island experience.
We will certainly not think twice about visiting them again next year. We (still) can't think of a nicer place to spend our main holiday abroad.
