15/10/2007 Like so many have written before Kokkari is a village you want to go back to. This time we stayed in Villa Maria ( would recommend) Gorgeous area and easy to reach ( especially if you are renting a scooter or a car) if you like fishing, bring your stuff c

28/04/2008 Kokkar is a picturesque little village situated on the seefront. It is far the niciest place on the island!
The old part of the village was/is designed for pedestrians with stone paved roads and therefore very safe for famillies, children and handicap people. The other part is extended along the beach and needs more attention when crossing the roads.

There are alot of cafeterias and bars and there is a small dancing club too.

We had food in several restaurants on the harbour. We recomend: the oldest restaurant in the village, "POSEIDON" its family owned and they specialize in Seafood and Fish, they also prepare a variety of meat dishes!
For PIZZA and PASTA we recomend "PICCOLO PORTO" every dish is cooked in a wooden oven keeping the tradition of the italians and adding taste and flavours to the dishes!

A good tip is choose the restaurants that can also operate indoors and all year round, they are the locals and care more about the clients. (they dont see us as money pits)
