A truly pretty village on the north east bank of Lake Balaton. The thatched houses climbing the hillside, overlooking the lake are a sight to behold. Our nine year old daughter loved the beach area, which was safe and well supervised. The 'strand' (official beach) is crowded in high summer with day-trippers from Tapolca. However, this didn't cause us any concern because the lake is shallow enough to enjoy a walk out into the water, and warm enough to stay in there for ages! Two hundred metres inland from the beach the village was peaceful and calm! This was a great holiday and a great adventure.
