If you are looking for a quiet place for a holiday with or without children then this is the place. The beaches are great, sandy with warm shallow water ideal for younger kids. The local shops and restaurants are open until late at night during the summer offering a variety of goods and foods. On the cultural side you have the old side of town and the town of Aquilea with its roman ruins and museum very near by. The favourite passtime is sitting out at a bar or restaurant watching the people walking by. There are several campsites in and around Grado or if you prefer, as we do, you can rent an appartment. We have been returning to this lovely corner of Italy for several years now however with the British Pound being so weak then dont expect a cheap holiday.
