This 110 year old hotel is currently being renovated. This caused quite some noise pollution because of the portable grinding machines and such. The room we stayed in was nice (sea view). The air-co didn't work. The bathroom was recently renovated, but the toilet didn't flush properly. However, the concierge fixed this the very same day. The staff is friendly and helpful, breakfast is good. There are no internet facilities available (yet) to hotel guests. The beach is a disaster. All small defined parts where you can rent a bed. 80% of the beds remain empty. There's only a tiny part of beach where the guests lie like sardines in a can. This hotel is OK for 1 or 2 nights but for a week in San Remo it really isn't. Don't do it. The mundane seaside resort of San Remo has long since ceased to exist. It really is perished splendour.
