21/08/2012 This is a lovely family friendly campsite, A river runs along side the site and Cannobio town is only half an hour's walk. The pitches are nice and cool and shaded, but they are quite small and you have to fit both car and tent on the one pitch. There is a charge for extra tents, even for a child's tiny pop up tent which we were not happy about.
There is a very good grocery store and the prices are very fair unlike most campsite shops. It does get very busy at breakfast and teatime and the queue snakes around the shop which can get very hot and stuffy.
Shower blocks and toilets were always very clean and there was rarely a queue for showers. Water was hot most of the time!
All in all a great site and great for kids to go off and play, cycle, swim safely. I would recommend staying there as it's very beautiful and well run.

14/06/2009 While we were there we had a storm and our pitch was knee deep in water because of the lack of maintenance of the drains. We managed to get our things out of the tent but all very wet and with no help from the management or staff. We asked if we could have a mobile caravan for the night to dry out and we were given one. the next morning we were told that thier rules were that you could only have a mobile van for a minimum of 3 nights and we would be charged for so even if we didn't stop. They took advantage of our situation and saw it as an opportunity to make money out of us. When we left we were hoping for a little compassion as we had lost a lot of our equipment to water damage and had quite a distressful time due to being washed out but no they expected us to pay everthing in full and said that we should be grateful that they let us stay in the caravan. When we pointed out that it was their drain that didnt work they shouted and used abusive language at us. Worse campsite ever.
