Astor is right next to the Olympic village of Turin, a couple of km south of the centre. Our first impression was reasonable. Room was clean and quiet. But later both our toilet and air-co appeared broken (summer: 36 degrees at night..). There were no other rooms available as the entire hotel was supposed to be occupied by doctors (also used as sales argument, so 'must be good'). However, at 10PM, 3.45AM and at 8AM all the keys were still behind the reception. Breakfast consisted solely of wrapped toast and jam, coffee and bottles of water (no diary products, meat, fruit etc.) While we were having breakfast the owner was washing her hair in the kitchen sink. Arrears of maintenance, bad service, bad location, understaffed, and a very limited breakfast. All in all not a must.
