gaiole in chianti is een van de beroemde wijndorpen, maar is ten opzichte van andere plaatsen veel minder toeristisch. Een gezellig dorpsplein met winkels en terrasjes. Ook in de winter levendig. Prachtig wandelgebied, maar ook talloze schattige dorpjes, kerkjes en kastelen op korte afstand. Binnen een uur alle beroemde plaatsen van Toscane bereikt. Siena 25 minuten.

Gaiole is een typisch Chianti bergdorp. In het dorp zijn enkele leuke restaurantjes waar je voor een goede prijs lekker kunt eten.
In de omgeving prachtige wijngaarden waar je heerlijk doorheen kunt wandelen en waar je bij menig wijnboer een heerlijke chianti kunt kopen om mee naar huis te nemen.
