Even in October it's a crowded town with many tourists that go home at night. Rent a bike, then you'll be able to cycle the stronghold walls.

Lucca is a typically Tuscan town with a special atmosphere. Nice shops with regional products, nice cafés with great coffee. At night in the picturesque streets, the candle lit restaurant terraces. At night there's no chaos in the streets.

Fine city, pleasant and absolutely not criminal. Lots of shops. Close to everything. Many terraces. Not too expensive. Very suitable for children. They're always there for you. Plenty to do. Many nice churches so excellent culture. Great for a vacation so
