Reviews Chalet Podere Mezzastrada

14/05/2009 I stayed for a week at the Podere Mezzastrada last June and I am returning next week. We were a group last year and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The grounds are beautifully kept with colourful flowers and lovely plants along walkways through lush gardens of mature trees that lead to many surprises such as the large pool made of tiny, blue tiles with flowers tumbling over into it from the patio. Beside the pool is a large tiled patio with magnificent views of the Tuscan countryside. The 'apartments' that have a house/home feel, are full of charm with vaulted, brick ceilings, tiles floors, white washed walls and lovely, old style furniture...and king size beds! Everything is clean. You don;t seem to see or hear the neighbours as the walls are solid and entrances far from one another. The restaurant is a short walk down the country road where the food is SO tasty and very reasonably priced. We can't wait to go back and do all our sightseeing with the Podere Mezzastrada as our base.
