Reviews Campsite Barco Reale****

27/08/2012 Barco Reale Campsite is a real find. We went with Eurocamp and had a fantastic holiday in one of their classic pre-erected tents. The site itself is high in the hills (a bonus in the 40 degree Tuscan summer as it was several degrees cooler up there!) providing breathtaking views of the valley below. The shower blocks were extremely clean and modern, the restaurant reasonably priced and friendly and the entertainment for our two children was fab. They particularly loved the on-site gelataria, serving gorgeous gelato that (in our book) rivalled that of Florence! Probably best of all were the three pools, beautifully clean and well appointed with sunbeds and parasols. The information desk was a mine of local knowledge, enabling us to travel to Pisa, Florence and Vinci with ease (all nearby). All in all, a fab site and probably one of our best holidays! Would definitely recommend.

12/07/2012 For Italy reasonable size pitch, set on a high ridge some pitches have breattaking views over the tuscany valleys below. Despite being high up, the local village has a number of shops & bars and the nearby town of Pistoia provides everything else. The staff at the site are fantastic and realy helpful regarding visiting nearby tourist attractions, timetables, car parking and train times etc.
The on site Restuarant is a real treat, fantastic food, excellent service and prices that won't break the bank.
There seem to be plenty for kids to do and the pools were fantastic although we had no children with us.
The sanitary blocks were very modern and spotlessly clean.
We will definetly be returning here.

28/05/2012 Excellent restaurant with very informative wine and olive oil tasting. Very friendly personnel. Useful information at the reception - updated daily. Wifi internet quite expensive and has a very short range limited to the area immediately around the reception building. Beautiful area and very close to Vinci.

13/10/2012 The camp site is perfectly placed on top of the hill and two swimming pools perfectly placed.
Do not miss the opportunity to eat with Paul in his resataurant you don't even have to be on site to use it.
The food is great value for money and excellent quality tell em Ash sent you.

29/09/2011 Barco Reale,an outstanding location,with a staff always ready to go that extra mile to make your stay as pleasant and rewarding as possible.The restaurant was always a pleasure,as was the swimming pool,and gelaterie.The sanitation blocks were always very clean,and well equiped.

Beautiful location, neat toilet buildings that were cleaned regularly. Beautiful places with height difference due to which there is more privacy. We ate in the restaurant a couple of times, this turned out good. Very kind and very helpful personnel.

11/06/2008 Beautiful camp ground, but only suitable for young families. Also nice entertainment for young children. For older children, couples etc, not very suitable. Is located too distant. No nice villages etc. nearby.

It indeed is ten degrees colder here than in the valley, especially in the evenings it cools incredibly, so keep this in mind.

10/06/2008 Alltogether a fine camp ground, but we went nuts due to the disco music that that is played from 09.00 or 10.00 AM until late at night! Totally good when your caravan is almost opposite the entertainment.
Average restaurant at the camp ground, but across the camp ground is a lot nicer and more delicious one! So, a recommend!
Fine base to explore Tuscany.
